For this reason, Expo Center Norte operates in alignment with the best ESG practices, promoting a culture of respect for people and natural resources while continuously contributing to expanding access to quality health, education, culture, leisure, and entertainment in the North Zone.
We embrace corporate sustainability as a fundamental premise for managing our business and have developed strategic commitments with goals to be achieved by 2030.
Thanks to our innovative ESG practices, we became the 1st Exhibition and Convention Center and Shopping Mall in the world to be B Corp certified. This achievement highlights our leadership through initiatives that prioritize the well-being of employees and stakeholders, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, promote effective waste management, and uphold ethical, transparent, and inclusive governance.

Our Actions
ENVIRONMENTAL
- Zero waste sent to landfills;
- 100% reuse of generated waste through recycling, composting, and energy recovery;
- Aerial points (smart set-ups);
- Electricity from clean sources, generating no greenhouse gas emissions (100% energy from renewable sources);
- Energy automation system for efficient consumption;
- Monitoring and inventorying of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions according to the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program.
SOCIETY
The Instituto Center Norte works to reduce social inequality through collaborative initiatives for the sustainable development of São Paulo’s North Zone, particularly its surroundings. Our pillars of action and commitment to the sustainable development goals include Social Development Innovation and Income Generation, aligned with our history of contributing to the North Zone’s social legacy.
Over the past five years, we have achieved:
- More than 110,000 people benefited;
- Collaborative engagement with over 60 organizations, including public, private, and civil society groups;
- Support for more than 180 social organizations;
- Over 40 projects supported in the region;
- Diversity and inclusion integrated into our businesses.

Center Norte Institute
The Center Norte Institute is part of the People pillar of the Elo Program. All its actions focus on improving the quality of life and income of residents in the North Zone of São Paulo.
Its goal is to further contribute to the personal and professional development of residents while also implementing solutions and innovations in social initiatives aimed at making the North Zone more sustainable.
